Biography
For the past 25 years, Jamie and his wife have made Van Nuys their home.
However, his story didn’t start here. Jamie understood the importance of education and attended New Jersey’s Lincoln Technical Institute in 1976. Following his education, he started work in Honesdale, PA doing electrical installation and repair. Grateful for his craft, Jamie also understood the importance of giving back and became a member of the Jaycees where he made it a point to donate numerous hours to non-profit organizations.
In 1985 Jamie moved to the San Fernando Valley. He had the foresight to see the potential Van Nuys had to offer and it was here where he started his business, All Phase Electrical Systems. Jamie is a general journeyman electrician, licensed and certified with the state of California. Starting your own business is one thing, but continually running a successful business for over twenty years and having an A-rating with the BBB is another! He understands the challenges that face our small businesses in this economy and Jamie has worked hard to build APES into what it is today.
Through the years Jamie has made time outside of his busy schedule to get involved with his community. He has been a member of many organizations that have a direct positive impact on our lives, such as the Mid Valley Family YMCA where he sat on the board of managers; he also became block captain for the neighborhood watch program and was the police community representative in Van Nuys.
Sometimes the littlest moments can open our eyes to the problems around us. For Jamie it was when he was helping Panorama City’s Graffiti Busters clean up the city with new coats of paint, he knew then more needed to be done. Jamie put his natural leadership ability to work and became an active member of the Knights of Columbus Cardinal McIntire, National Fire Protection Association, Building Trades Association, Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce, North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Encino Chamber of Commerce, Woodland Hills Chamber of Commerce, and the United States Chamber of Commerce.
It wasn’t long until his hard work and great ideas raised him in the ranks as president of many prestigious groups such as the Van Nuys Rotary, Van Nuys Neighborhood Council, and Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce. Jamie is directly responsible for writing the national electrical code, awarding Rotary honorary high school students, and starting a program that recognizes our hardworking men and women of the Mid-Valley Community Police Council. While lending a hand to surrounding communities, he is currently working on providing a safe environment for our families and children as the advisory board director of Delano Park.
Jamie knows more needs to be done and is ready to tackle the core issues head on with his 6-for-6 Plan and the people’s best interests in mind. He has a proven track record of leadership and honesty and is ready to represent your needs as your city council member.
